In My Head

Every secret has its masquerade
Every silence has its serenade
For every breath a hideaway
Yet for every life a dying day
Each revolution has its Robespierre
And each brave new world its equal similarity

Every misconduct its jealousy
Every love a house and family
And every liberation holds a war
Each enough contains a more
For every loyalty a royalty
And for every sin morality

In my head, there’s a doubt that never ends
In my head, there’s a doubt that never ends

Every statement breeds its opposite
Every trueness has its counterfeit
Behind each word a ?
To me just 1 light shines in the dark
There´s only you when nothing stands upright
When all my certainties have been falsified

In my head, there’s a doubt that never ends
In my head, there’s a doubt that never ends
No truth without its private fence
No lie without its common sense
No saints without sinners
